First off, this role spends a lot of time with customers. It’s a management position so you do all the usual management things; leading the team, managing the site safely and setting objectives but you’ll never be too far away from the sharp end and you’ll be happy to lead by example. The job is all about solving problems and to do that you’ll have an open and approachable personality and an ability to think on your feet. You’re experience managing in a retail or hospitality business will set you in good stead and it’ll definitely help if you’re a natural with people from all walks of life and are one to spot opportunities.
